EYE SCREAM PROJECT

In our opinion, doing a detailed and organized description of what this project is or tries to be would be like breaking the spirit of what Eye Scream really is. No doubt “Scream” appeared since the beginning as the best way to qualify the spontaneity and humour with which the project was born, it also illustrated the intension of expressing our vision of things: from a small glance to the most scandalous of our lenses and always with the sincerity of an uninhibited Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

As students from very different countries, backgrounds and conceptions of photography we thought this project would not only allow us to do what we love the most simultaneously to our studies but also to share our photos from this last year spent in Poitiers, France. The idea is basically to work together in order to have various approaches and styles around a common theme or idea.

This website is our main support; its goal is certainly not only to show our work but also to create a space for photography and other artistic expressions, you´ll find articles from the origins of photography to contemporary artists that we particularly like.

Ana

Nationality: Spanish

Like: staring at snowflakes’ shape, spontaneous and sincere laugh, frogs and little red panda, genuine creativity, soap bubbles, gum bubbles and champagne bubbles, sunset light, popcorn, hugs.

Dislike: umbrellas, hypocrisy, pigeons, snow becoming ugly, blond hair, white shoes, blond hair and white shoes all together, strawberry ice cream, uninspiring out of tune notes, awkward silences, goodbyes.

 

Dan

Nationality: Mexican

Like: Owls, Tee, Smell of wet wood, candles, shadows, coffee, mazes, morning-sheets, paint my skin, trees in winter, Orchestral unison, Mars and Snickers Lasagna, Borges, Luciana Téllez.

Dislike: Bio food as a fashion, Nails, Crowded places, to be touched in the head, time, planes, pigeons, Droit constitutionnel français, wet floors, and Small-indoor places.

 

Edu

Nacionalidad : Venezolano – Brasileño

Like : el olor de pintura fresca, el canto de los pájaros en la mañana, el chocolate caliente, las fotos movidas, los escalofríos, y caminar descalzo en la arena.

Dislike: El anís, dormir menos de 8 horas, el frio, las ecuaciones,  el café y el ruido de la tiza cuando toca el pizarrón.

 

Salomé

Nacionalidad: Colombiana

Like: subirme a un bus (o cualquier medio de transporte en su defecto) y que solo quede un puesto, ponerme medias diferentes, ver películas en los aviones, los vestidos, Milan Kundera, reírme, tomar retratos, Cuevana.

Dislike: la papaya, el décalage horaire, hacer hors-sujet, la ley SOPA, el invierno, los perros, la clase de historia el viernes de 6 a 8, las mentiras.

 

Sebastian

Nationality: Salvadoran – German

Like: travelling in trains, afternoon sunlight, Richmond Hill, airports, chocolate, beaches, the smell inside churches

Dislike: cold weather, people who talk too much, monotonous routines, writing the first line of a text, things that make no sense to me

Victoria

Nationality: Argentinian

Like: coffee, music, staying in my bed, photography & movies, my cat, the street, walking barefoot, creativity, books

Dislike:  International Relations, numbers, cold, sleeping with a chewing gum, morning, intolerance, people without imagination

Nacionalidade: Brasileiro

Like: Brisa em dia quente, as montanhas, mapas, receber uma carta, massa de bolo, boas surpresas.

Dislike: A saída da ducha no inverno, varrer o chão, bater o dedinho no canto da porta, esquecer moeda em roupa suja, água-neve.
